What can I expect from Functional Medicine Health and Wellness coaching from a nurse?

Unlike traditional Western medicine, Functional Medicine looks at the whole person and creates an individualized program for the mind, body, spirit and environment. Every dis-ease of the body or mind has an underlying root cause. Once found, it can be rebalanced so that the body can then begin to repair, rebalance, and rejuvenate on its way back to health and vitality.

What are the benefits of using a Functional Medicine Health and Wellness coach?

We will build a relationship that will actively work towards better health by providing support, encouragement, and fundamental education. As a Health Coach I instruct and guide my wellness clients to improve their overall health by exploring lifestyle practices such as diet, exercise, stress reduction, sleep, supplementation, and many more that enable them to heal. We will address the entire person; mind, body, and spirit. I want to hear your story, because it matters.

What if I have to cancel a session?

I ask for 24 or more hours notice if you need to cancel. I understand life is busy and events can get in the way. Communicating right away with me is best. A No show No call will be charged and will forfeit the session.

What about confidentiality?

I will protect the information you share with me and I will not share your information with another third party unless required by law.

Why 3 or 6 months?

Part of my job is to help give you restorative power to heal your body through nutrition, balance, remove toxicities, and allow your body to do what it’s meant to do. I will guide you to discovery what your body needs so it can begin to heal itself. It takes consistency and time for the body to heal from the imbalances that have occurred over time.

What do I mean when I say, “become an owner of your health”?

Self Efficacy - refers to an individual’s belief that they can use their skills to create the change that they desire. Wellness is caring enough about yourself to take charge of your own health, make the necessary changes and allow your Health and Wellness coach, friends, family, long term vision to support you to maintain your motivation and reach vitality and the happiness you deserve.
